How we picked

We only listed brands owned by Malaysian companies whose products show a live NPRA notification, checked on QUEST3+ by number on 17 October 2026. Prices are from each brand's own store, or a brand campaign or Watsons snapshot where no store price was shown. We ranked original scents above designer lookalikes, then by price and how easy each is to buy. Our method

Left out on purpose

  • Sukka: A well-known Malaysian oud house, but we found no NPRA notification under its name or its product names on QUEST3+.
  • Blanco Fragrance: Notified with NPRA and made in Malaysia, but we could not find an official store or price.
  • Enchanteur: Made in Malaysia, but owned by Wipro Unza, part of India's Wipro group, so not a Malaysian-owned brand.
  • Hayaku, The Rich Scents: No NPRA notification found under these names.
  • Zimaya, Lelas: Sold by Malaysian distributors, but the brands and factories are in the UAE and Turkey.
